Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's four meetings
Tuesday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team . . .
Bangor
2.22: East Street
Chancycourt was surely flattered to finish quite so close to recent Cheltenham winner Potters Charm in his final hurdle race but he's still of strong interest off this mark on his chase debut. Ultra Beat is another newcomer to fences who needs considering and Brook Bay can go well upped to 3m, but EAST STREET (nap) gets the nod. He's on a good mark if James Owen can get him back on track.
Alistair Jones
Catterick
2.47: Captain Potter
This race looks pretty weak and CAPTAIN POTTER (nap) may well be able to defy a 4lb rise for winning over C&D four weeks ago. His main danger may again be Tarbat Ness, who followed the selection home that day and is better off at the weights. Bonne Vitesse, who won at Carlisle in May when last seen, is also considered.
Andrew Bladen
Chepstow
3.45: Solar System
Irish point winner Manowest moves up in trip after some promising runs in novice company this summer and is respected on this handicap debut. However, there is more to come from SOLAR SYSTEM (nap), who won in good style at Fontwell two starts ago and was not discredited in a race that did not pan out favourably for him last time. Dual C&D winner Wot You Wearing ran a big race in defeat on his recent seasonal debut at Hereford and is next on the list.
Chris Wilson
Newcastle
7.00: Kitaab
C&D winner Indivar and the lightly raced Buzz Box make the shortlist, but the vote goes to KITAAB (nap) who won well over C&D at the start of the month and did well to go so close at Kempton a week later. Fiscal Policy, Moyola and Golden Duke are others to consider.
