Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's four meetings

Sunday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team . . .

Aintree

12.40: Skyjack Hijack

There are serious rivals such as Lihyan (second choice), Chris Cool and City Derby to be dealt with but SKYJACK HIJACK (nap) makes plenty of appeal judged on his Perth win one month ago and he's clearly the most lightly raced horse in the field, open to further improvement.

Galway

3.43: I Am Lorenzo

All the likely main players here lack a recent run so the market could prove a good guide. I AM LORENZO (nap) appeals on the back of a strong debut effort in a better-class Leopardstown maiden at Christmas, and he is preferred to hurdling debutant Patter Merchant, absent since Easter. Beau Walking holds solid claims but looks vulnerable to less-exposed types, while Killarney flop El Barakah is surely capable of better.

Wexford

4.00: Duke Silver

Joseph O'Brien's DUKE SILVER (nap) showed considerable improvement when second to an in-form rival at Killarney and can go one better. On recent form Onefortheditch and Inthenickoftime are capable of reaching the money. Glendars Mahler and Jacenry, who both failed to complete the course last time, are of some interest.

Wincanton

3.15: Credo

This looks good for CREDO (nap), who won this race when fresh a year ago and is now 5lb lower than when placed in Haydock's Tommy Whittle Chase last December. All of last season's form was on soft/heavy ground but she's also very effective on a sound surface. Found On ended last season with two non-completions but can be very dangerous off this mark if refreshed by her summer break. Quick Draw, a course winner in February, is next on the list.
