Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's five meetings

Tuesday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team . . .

Brighton

4.45: Desert Footsteps

Chepstow winner Desert Footsteps is taken to show further improvement and follow up. Lady Ava, who looks interesting off a handy mark back on turf, is second choice ahead of Marsh Benham and Roscioli.

Galway

4.50: Farrokh

A few of these have questions to answer. This trip is a concern for the in-form Likable Chancer and Our Bobby's record on right-handed tracks is off-putting. Kilmurry Jj could be a threat back over fences but Farrokh looks the most solid option. He has been knocking on the door in recent starts, the ground will suit and this looks a good opportunity for him to get off the mark over fences. Ricky Langford could go well at a bigger price, if he is in the mood.

Huntingdon

3.00: Ballytechno

The Gray Ghost's bumper win has substance and he shouldn't be far away on his stable/hurdle debut while Recoded (second choice), who has the stronger bumper form, commands plenty of respect starting out for Harry Derham. However, the selection is Ballytechno, who can improve on his Worcester hurdles effort, with the longer trip expected to suit.

Leicester

3.53: Cypriot Diaspora

Today's expected return to slow ground is a likely plus for course winner Cypriot Diaspora, who runs off her last winning mark and can take advantage. Hedge Fund returned to form at Wolverhampton recently and is feared most ahead of The Ridler.

8.30: Hunters Run

The 3yo Hunters Run has hit top form since going up in distance and this further step up can see him land a three-timer. The main danger is Just An Hour, who is yet to win for current connections but has slipped in the weights and a success looks imminent. The other to consider is Beautiful Crown who tends to be slowly away but finishes his races well.
