Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's five meetings

Tuesday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team . . .

Leicester

2.28: Questionable

This can go QUESTIONABLE, who is versatile ground-wise and came from off the pace to win with plenty in hand at Sandown last month. She still looks feasibly treated off her revised mark and is open to more improvement. Sir Mark Prescott's Orbital still has potential and she's feared most ahead of last month's Chester runner-up Phone Tag and the veteran Croeso Cymraeg.

Market Rasen

3.05: Court In The Act

There was only a neck between COURT IN THE ACT and Diamond Dice when they both ran very respectably in a hot novices' handicap at Sandown in April but Harry Derham's runner raced much closer to the pace and arguably emerges from that race with greater credit. Fransham has slipped to a tempting mark and might also feature. Bannister won quite stylishly from off the pace here last month but may have been slightly flattered by the way that race panned out.

Newcastle

8.00: Mr Heinz

Whatwouldyouknow makes the shortlist having dropped 5lb lower than when winning this race two years ago, while five-time C&D winner Pop Favorite has also become well treated. End Zone and Masterpainter are others to consider, but the choice is MR HEINZ, whose record over C&D reads 12413.

Yarmouth

4.15: Afloat

Umbria (second choice) has better days ahead of her and seems sure to go well but AFLOAT scored comfortably over C&D last week and can make light of a 5lb penalty to garner a fourth course win. Ghost Story and Elforleather also need considering.

3.50: Ballysax Hank

This looks a match. Mister Pink is having his first run since finishing second in this race last year and runs well fresh. However, BALLYSAX HANK has recent form, and good form at that, in his Listowel second to a stablemate of Mister Pink on this sort of ground and gets the vote over a trip which should suit.
