Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's five meetings

Wednesday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team . . .

Beverley

4.18Good Point

A typically competitive sprint for the track. Elegant Erin, Glory Hyde and Paddy's Day look set to go well but the two against the field are Mattice and Good Point. Mattice has had excuses on his last two starts and has dropped to a dangerous mark but Good Point hinted at something better here on his penultimate start and his latest Catterick run is easy to forgive as he saw no daylight from some way out.

Kelso

6.35Restandbethankful

Lizzie Quinlan's Restandbethankful hasn't always found a great deal at the business end of his races but, having been given another wind op, he kept on strongly to beat a thriving rival at Cartmel last month. He's still on a workable mark after a 7lb rise and is taken to beat Garde Des Champs, who comes here after a string of good efforts at Perth.

Sandown

1.50Harb

Soul Seeker will be suited by the drying conditions and he's of interest on this season's best but this looks good for Harb to repeat his win in the race 12 months ago. He fairly bolted up on that occasion and lines up today off a 3lb lower mark. That looks all the more enticing given that his C&D win last month has already been well franked.

Tramore

5.20: Picture Of You

With some improvement likely from her Kilbeggan second on return, Picture Of You can take this for her top local yard. Kimy doesn't have much to find with the selection on ratings and can prove her main danger. Kazakh D'Arthel is of interest on Irish debut and the market bcan reveal more.

Yarmouth

2.00Raffles Angel

High Violet (second choice) and Gultari are improving 3yos who command respect, but Raffles Angel also fits that bill and she can make it 3-5 in handicaps. Valtellina drops in trip but looks the most interesting of the older runners.
