Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's five meetings

Tuesday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team . . .

Catterick

4.22: Opal Storm

One Of Our Own could have done without the recent rain, whereas others in here won't turn their noses up at some give underfoot. OPAL STORM (nap) didn't have the race run to suit last time at Beverley and this consistent filly is worth another go over 6f. Crocodile Power came clear with the favourite here recently and he's feared most.

Galway

4.35: Seas And Oceans

A good run from 3lb out of the handicap at Killarney indicates that SEAS AND OCEANS (nap) can win a contest of this standard. Heading the list of likely dangers are course-and-distance festival winners Victor's Choice and Sylkie. Purple Sky makes plenty of appeal following last week's Gowran run.

Leicester

4.14: Laura Bay

Ciara Pearl continues to run well but the potential seems to lie principally with LAURA BAY (nap), who is 2-2 in 1m2f handicaps, and Salamanca City, whose first 1m2f handicap was a last-time-out win.

Lingfield

4.00: Nordic Glory

Despite a record of 1-47 Lion Ring isn't without a chance in such a modest contest with the form of his latest Chelmsford third having been boosted, while the unexposed three-year-old Havana Sky at least comes into this in winning form. The vote goes to five-time course winner NORDIC GLORY (nap) who has been running well on turf lately but who should prove at least as potent back here.

Newcastle

6.00: Titainium

Solar Bentley handled heavy ground best when winning a small-field affair at Ffos Las last time and a 7lb rise will test him in tonight's better company. The well-related Sarmiento Power, who's been gelded and goes up in trip on his handicap/AW debut, should be capable of better but TITAINIUM (nap) has kicked on again since upped to 1m2f and won easily on his sole previous Tapeta start.
