Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's five meetings

Tuesday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team . . .

Brighton

4.20: Waleyfa

In a competitive race for the grade the suggestion is WALEYFA (nap), who was an emphatic C&D winner on last month's stable debut and has run well in defeat on Tapeta since. Romanovich is in the best form of his career and may provide the biggest threat but Sorontar was placed on his recent turf debut and may still have potential.

Newcastle

4.55: Loom Large

Where Is The Love is high on the list if stepping forward from her promising Chelmsford reappearance, while The Bobster is also respected with the form of his latest start having been franked. The vote, however, goes to LOOM LARGE (nap) who has winning form over C&D and shaped as though the return to this trip would suit when just beaten over 1m here a fortnight ago. Vintage Love looks best of the rest.

Punchestown

2.25: Genealogy

Runner-up to a better-fancied stablemate on debut over this trip at the Curragh, GENEALOGY(nap) can go one better today. However, Starry Desert and Storm Piece have major claims on their solid maiden efforts too, so the selection won't get anything easy.

Redcar

3.13: Bright

With the form of his July/August wins stacking up nicely, BRIGHT (nap) looks set to complete the hat-trick. Novello Lad, who has proved very consistent this term, is feared most ahead of Muscika whose last two efforts suggest his turn may be near.

Yarmouth

4.35: Summer Of Love

This can go to SUMMER OF LOVE (nap) who has yet to try her luck at sprinting but she'll get a fast pace to chase and that will help. She was good value for her winning margin at Epsom last time. Kitai was all at sea on the undulations of Ripon when single-figure odds for the Great St Wilfrid and she can bounce back with a big run. Rosy Affair and Apeeling can also feature.
