Market Rasen Placepot tips: Graeme Rodway's selections for a £50,000 guaranteed pool

Deputy betting editor

The Tote’s £50,000 guarantee for the Placepot moves on to Market Rasen on Wednesday and the opening 2m½f novice hurdle (12.05) is between Catchim and Tripoli Flyer. Put both in.

There are two out of the 2m½f handicap hurdle (12.40) and it’s trappy with the winner needed. Take on Brave Jen with Chief SundayPiecederesistance and Traveling Soldier.

The 2m5½f novice handicap chase (1.15) is open and three places are available, at least. Camino Rocio looks certain to go well under Sean Bowen, while Sadler’s Bay is consistent.

What A Johnny is one of my best bets on the day and is a banker in the 2m7f handicap hurdle (1.50), while the 3m Listed mares’ chase (2.25) is between Fantastic Lady and Marsh Wren.

The 3m handicap chase (3.00) is the last leg and it may be between Pats Dream and Coolmoyne, who is ultra-consistent and looks likely to run into a place once again.
