Lingfield Placepot tips: Gary Savage with his selections for a £50,000 guaranteed pool

The Tote's Placepot guarantee is at Lingfield on Tuesday and Starshiba has won three times at the course and twice under Daniel Muscutt, so everything looks in place for a big run on his second stable start in the opener (11.14).

The first division of the novice (11.44), should come down to those with experience and, despite his penalty, Master Technician should easily be good enough to make the frame.

The second division (12.14) looks a more trappy affair with nothing between a lot of them. David Loughnane's This Farh ran well when a fancied 11-2 chance for a Thirsk maiden last time, the stable is in good form, and his dam was a decent all-weather performer.

Solid contenders are thin on the ground in the fourth leg, the nursery handicap (12.44). Friday Again and Makes Me Wonder both have decent draws and marks that look reasonable on their handicap debuts.

A cracking Class 2 5f handicap follows for leg five (1.14) and two selections looks advisable. Existent went close at Wolverhampton on Friday and has run well before when returning to the track quickly,  while The Thames Boatman is unbeaten at the course.

The final leg (1.44) is a Listed contest that looks to be at the mercy of last year's winner Tyrrhenian Sea.
