Trainer John Size presses on with one of his burgeoning talents Wunderbar, who drops back in trip when tackling the Class 2 5f sprint handicap (7.35) on the ten-race card at Sha Tin tomorrow.

The four-year-old is six wins from seven and already noteworthy for having twice beaten the budding star sprinter Ka Ying Rising. His only defeat so far was inflicted last December by Mugen, who has since gone on to Group 1 level.

Size has made his customary slow start to the season registering only four wins from 75 runners, but there are clear signs his stable is running into form and Wunderbar looks poised to land his third win of the campaign.

It is interesting the gelding comes back a furlong in distance and has been drawn awkwardly in stall two. However, with nine runners, it should be relatively straightforward for Zac Purton to angle his mount towards the favoured stands' side in the first half of the race.

His main danger is the Cody Mo-trained Magic Control, who showed enormous promise when winning a Group 3 in Melbourne before export.  He finished second in the National Day Cup last month on his most recent start and is going the right way.

Francis Lui is another trainer with a talented sprinter in his stable,  namely the up and coming Packing Hermod, who puts his unbeaten record on the line when attempting four wins on the trot in the Class 2 7f Panasonic Cup (8.05).

The son of Australian stallion Rubick has gone up 9lb in the ratings and faces a rise in grade for a comfortable win over 6f from a wide draw last time. He has every chance of staying the extra furlong and should also have the better of Bottomuptogether, another untapped talent.

The finale, a Class 3 1m handicap (9.50), looks ideal for the Frankie Lor-trained Voyage Samurai, a three-time winner who has never been out of the first two in six starts. From stall four,  he should be travelling handily to the pace throughout.

The main threat is posed by the David Hayes-trained Star Mac, who is 0-13 but smart enough to take third in the Hong Classic Mile for four-year-olds earlier in the year. His efforts in the Classic series ruined his handicap mark but he can still sneak a place.
