Goodwood Placepot picks: Robbie Wilders with his perm for the £50,000 guaranteed pool

The card at Goodwood looks an interesting one and Mighty Boy is picked to get us through the mile maiden (1.45) that kicks off the Placepot. He ran nicely in a Deauville conditions race on his debut and has a Group 2 Royal Lodge entry.

Ancient Times was a non-stayer over 6f at Newmarket last time and is worth considering back in trip for the 5f handicap (2.20). Angle Land likes it here and had an excuse for her recent disappointment.

Forest Gate was a good second behind a nice prospect at Newbury last time, so appeals in a competitive 1m2f novice (2.55). Unbeaten colt Radwan won't be far away if building on his debut Doncaster success.

Jakarta and Pouting are two talented types sporting first-time headgear and definitely have chances in an open 6f fillies' nursery (3.30).

The 6f handicap (4.05) is even trickier. Many A Star and Rhythm N Hooves are the class runners in the field and arrive in reasonable nick.

The staying handicap (4.40) looks all about unexposed three-year-old East India Dock, a seriously unlucky loser here last time with plenty more to offer in this type of race.
