Thursday's racing tips: five horses to consider putting in your multiple bets

Handicappers' nap

Carbine Harvester (1.58 Lingfield)

Has shown much improved form since going handicapping, running out a convincing winner of both nursery starts last month. Ahead of the handicapper under a penalty for his latest success, he can complete the hat-trick under Harry Burns.

Eyecatcher

Auguste Lumiere (8.30 Chelmsford)

Ran his best race at Dundalk when trained by Jim Bolger, and appreciated getting back on the all-weather on his debut for Clare Hobson, coming from a long way back to take second over this course and distance last month. He can go one better off a 2lb higher mark.

Speed figures

Ardennes (1.58 Lingfield)

Has put in two solid runs since moving to Mick Appleby, notably when clocking his best career speed figure at Kempton two starts ago.

The Punt nap

Forge Valley Lad (12.28 Lingfield)

A three time course-and-distance winner who has dropped a long way in the weights, he shaped as if ready to strike when looking unlucky not to win here over a shorter trip in December. This is a weaker race than last time and the extra distance will suit David Simcock's runner.

Dark horse

Dream Voyage (1.58 Lingfield)

Lightly raced filly who looked promising on her first two starts before finding the Sweet Solera too testing. This should be an easier task, and the return to 6f will be a positive as she makes her debut on the all-weather.
