Cheltenham Placepot picks: Paul Kealy's perm for the £150k guaranteed pool

Placepot punters have a few tricky races to deal with at Cheltenham, not least the first (1.10), in which it's 9-2 the field.

On all known chase form Weveallbeencaught is the best handicapped if Christian Williams can bring him back to somewhere near his best, but there are unexposed types in there, too, and Marv Michael, who jumped so well on his chase debut for Henry de Bromhead at Kilbeggan, looks a decent back-up.

Only five go in the novice hurdle (1.45), in which Britain's only entry is a nine-year-old outsider. With Gavin Cromwell and John McConnell having such good records at this meeting, it makes sense to side with Millforce and Intense Approach, although they are the first two in the betting.

I'm very keen on Some Scope in the next (2.20), but it would be madness to go with only one, and the claims of Broadway Boy, never out of the first two at Cheltenham, are there for all to see.

In the Pertemps qualifier (2.55), Zain Nights ought to be close to a successful defence of his 100 per cent record at 3m, while Idem is race-fit and seems to be going the right way.

It's banker time in the four-year-old hurdle (3.30) as Bottler'secret, second to Kargese in Grade 1 company at Punchestown when last seen, has comfortably the best form even when taking into account the weight he has to give away.

In the final leg (4.05), Theatre Man and Bowtogreatness have some pretty decent handicap form to their names, the former at this track, and they get weight from the winners, so they will do for me.
