Chelmsford Placepot tips: Graeme Rodway with his selections for the £50,000 guaranteed pool

Division one of the 1m2f novice (5.00) comes up next and it should be safe to bank on Cloth Of Gold, provided all eight line up. He is 13lb clear of his rivals on adjusted Racing Post Ratings.

The second division (5.30) doesn’t look a strong race for the grade and Jackrabbit has a chance of making a successful debut if she is ready. Orchestral Wave is next in.

The 7f novice (6.00) is another good chance for a banker provided at least eight run as Circus Of Rome can place, while Borderline Madness and Flaine appeal in the mile nursery (6.30).

The mile handicap (7.00) is the final leg and Diderot looks certain to run well for in-form trainer James Ferguson. Sterling Knight might be best of the rest and is also included in the perm.
