Brighton Placepot tips: Tom Segal attempts to crack the £50,000 guaranteed pool

After his easy win at Goodwood last time, Pride Of Nepal looks sure to go well in the 1m4f amateur jockeys' handicap (2.22). However, the ground will likely be a lot quicker and so for Placepot purposes it is worth including The Resdev Way too.

Acrisius is the form horse in the sprint maiden (2.52) but not by much, and so the less exposed One For Harvey needs to go in as well, while Mart and A Pint Of Bear represent good Placepot value in the sprint handicap (4.52).

The two bankers are the recent course winner Broadhaven Bay in the nursery (3.22) and Shaw Park (3.52), who always runs well at Brighton and comes here on the back of a comfortable win recently.

The 7f handicap (4.22) might be the trickiest race on the card to get through, but the topweight Otago is pretty consistent and has dropped to a mark he can win off, while Havana Mojito will enjoy getting back on fast ground and is open to more improvement.
