Aintree Placepot picks: Tom Segal attempts to crack the £100k guaranteed pool

There are three banker options for the Aintree Placepot perm, starting with the progressive Skyjack Hijack in the opener (12.40). He remains on a feasible mark despite having won his last two.

Henry Daly has his horses in good form and it wouldn't be a surprise to see Bowenspark go well in the 2m4f handicap hurdle (3.35). He goes very well fresh and is well handicapped on his bumper form. 

The other banker is Sunray Shadow, who looks to have only one serious rival in the maiden hurdle (3.00). 

Densworth goes well fresh and comes from an in-form yard, so he's the first choice in the novice chase (1.15). It's always risky to bank in that sort of contest and the more experienced Moveit Like Minnie should be included too.

The Old Roan Chase at Aintree (1.50) is short of numbers but long on quality. Course specialist Ahoy Senor has to go in given his record at the track and the other pick is Minella Drama as this is likely to have been his early-season target. Stage Star is clearly dangerous if he's ready for this but that's questionable. 

The veterans' chase (2.25) is another competitive race. While Copperhead has found his mojo again, he's up in the weights in a better race and is passed over in favour of Torn And Frayed and Fortescue, who both look fairly handicapped.
