Looking at this great big son of Great Pretender, he has staying chaser written all over him. Placed behind the leaders, he seemed to move quite well in the soft conditions and he was the only horse on the bridle coming around the final bend, but he was unable to show a change of pace.

Similarly, Carter McKay is another chasing type who looked short of pace coming off the final bend and plugged on in third. I think he is crying out for a fence, as are Jetz and Moyross.

The winner, Tower Bridge, has much more of a Flat build and was lucky to stand up after making a mistake at the first, but he came with a long withering run on the outside to come out on top.
The favourite Fabulous Saga was dropping back in trip after his previous victory over 3m, but he went off far too quick.
