'There's every reason he could improve significantly from two to three' - Justin O'Hanlon with four juveniles to follow from last week
Alba Chiara
Trainer: Natalia Lupini
5th,
1m two-year-old maiden, Curragh, October 17
Natalia Lupini has enjoyed a fine season with her juveniles, both with those who have won and others who have shown plenty of promise, and next season is one to really look forward to.
This Almanzor filly certainly fits into the promising category. After a slow start and showing plenty of greenness, she never really threatened to get involved, but the further they went the more the penny dropped and her finishing effort was decent. She seemed to handle the ease in the ground, but better ground is unlikely to be a problem.
Her pedigree suggests she will be one for middle distances next year and they might wait with her until then.
