'He could really progress with a winter under his belt' - Justin O'Hanlon with the future winners from the past week
Lands Of The Giants
Trainer: Natalia Lupini
4th,
1m two-year-old maiden, Punchestown, September 17
As already highlighted in previous weeks, Natalia Lupini is
enjoying a strong end to the season with her juveniles leading the way, demonstrated by the victory of Rebel Diamond in the Listed Blenheim Stakes made
clear.
She had a couple of runners at Punchestown's Flat meeting last week who could have been included, and the promising debut from this son of Calyx was the most striking. A fine, big colt, he travelled easily close to the pace for most of the way before losing a bit of momentum when pushed a little wide on the home turn. His size meant it took him long enough to get back on an even keel, but when he did he kept on nicely to finish fourth in what could be an informative maiden.
He might well be one who is put away until next season, and could really progress with a winter under his belt.
