'Dropping him back to five might be worthwhile' - Justin O'Hanlon with the ones to follow from last week's action

The Duke Mardukas
Trainer: Johnny Murtagh
5th, 6f two-year-old race, Dundalk, November 15

After running down the field in a soft-ground Curragh maiden the previous month, this Havana Grey colt showed a good deal more on his second start in this Dundalk winners' contest.

He did seem to be lit up a little by the first-time blinkers in contrast to his Curragh start when he was slowly away. Here, he was quickly away and keen, was still there with every chance over a furlong out and, when he started to run out of steam, his rider was not hard on him as he came in fifth, beaten less than three lengths.
