Carroll: Saigon City has been aimed at this race for a while

Evan Williams, trainer of John Constable
It’s certainly where we're aiming with him. He had a nice freshen up over hurdles and I doubt we’d run him before unless we felt we needed a penalty to get him in the race. His main focus is the hurdling campaign over the winter but this would be a perfect start for him.

Charlie Fellowes, trainer of Endless Acres
The plan is to go straight to the Cesarewitch at Newmarket. He ran a great race at Ascot on ground I think will have been too quick for him. He’s had a lovely break in the paddock and is back in now. Two and a quarter miles with a bit of cut in the ground should suit him well.

Alan King, trainer of Top Tug and Who Dares Wins
It’s very unlikely we’ll take Top Tug there, he pulled some muscles at York and could do with a break for sure. Who Dares Wins will likely go to the trial in a couple of weeks at Newmarket. They went no pace at Chester and it really didn’t suit him but he’d been going brilliantly before that.
