Thoroughbid announces 40-strong catalogue for this week's February Sale

Thoroughbid has released the catalogue for their February Sale which takes place later this week on Thursday, February 27 with bidding live online between 9am and 12pm.
The 40-strong entry for the mixed sale features horses in and out of training, broodmares, a store, yearling and two-year-old with representatives from Boardsmill Stud, Gordon Elliott, Peel Bloodstock, Ballynure Park Stud, Ben Pauling and G and T Racing, who sold the record-breaking British point-to-point mare at Tattersalls Cheltenham last week.
Also in the catalogue are 15 horses from the Racehorse Ownership Club, whose stock is being dispersed.
Peel Bloodstock offers Jubilee Girl (Lot 24) a winning daughter of Nathaniel out of Chincoteague, a Daylami half-sister to the Hardwicke and Earl Of Sefton Stakes winner and Prince Of Wales's Stakes second Indian Creak. Chincoteague is also a half-sister to Honorine, the dam of Irish Derby and Secretariat Stakes winner Treasure Beach and the Listed winners Elidor and Honor Bound, who is herself the dam of last season's Group 3 Prix Bertran de Tarragone winner Andromede.
Syd Hosie has entered Mucuna (33) a winner on the Flat and over hurdles. She is a six-year-old daughter of Guiliani and is a granddaughter of the Listed winner Red Stella.
Ciaran Murphy has entered two of his Charlestown House team in the sale: Fire Force (7) who is a six-year-old Workforce half-sister to the Scottish National and Sandown Gold Cup winner Kitty's Light and Atlantic City (18) a four-year-old daughter of Ulysses who has been placed over hurdles and is out of a half-sister to Group 1 Prix Morny winner Pretty Pollyanna.
Ballynure Park Stud offers a colt from the second crop of exciting young stallion Mohaather (2) and he is a grandson of the Listed Flying Fillies' Stakes winner and Rockfel runner-up Valonia. The Wicklow farm also consigns Cape Spirit (38), a 13-year-old daughter of Cape Cross who is offered in foal to Authorized on a mid-June cover.
Out of a half-sister to the 2,000 Guineas, Irish 2,000 Guineas, Champion Stakes, Middle Park Stakes and International Stakes winner Rodrigo De Triano, she is the dam of two winners from four runners and has a two-year-old Kameko colt and a yearling filly by Study Of Man.
“We are pleased with the catalogue we’ve produced for this year’s February Sale with the Racehorse Ownership Club’s dispersal draft adding extra interest," said James Richardson, CEO of Thoroughbid.
“It’s also fantastic to have leading trainers Gordon Elliott, Venetia Williams and Ben Pauling consigning horses in the sale. ThoroughBid is proving a consistent source of winners and I’m sure there will be plenty to come from this month’s sale. With 40 lots consigned, there’s something for everyone, and we look forward to bidding opening."
The catalogue is online and available to view here.
