The catalogue for the Arqana October Yearling Sale has been published online.

The second major sale of the season reserved for yearlings and a veritable showcase of French breeding, it has produced some exceptional performers, such as Metropolitan, this year’s Poule d’Essai des Poulains winner and runner-up in the Prix Jacques le Marois. Bright Picture, Borna, Almara, Jayarebe, Exxtra, Wootton Verni, Royalty Interest, Dare To Dream and Nadette are graduates who have all won at Group level this season.

Now online on www.arqana.com, the catalogue offers yearlings by leading established sires such as Camelot, Churchill, Dark Angel, Frankel, Galiway, Havana Grey, Invincible Spirit, Kingman, Mehmas, New Bay, Night Of Thunder, No Nay Never, Sea The Stars, Siyouni, Soldier Hollow, Starspangledbanner, Too Darn Hot, Wootton Bassett and Zarak.

Buyers will also have the opportunity to buy colts and fillies from the first crops of Japan, Palace Pier, Space Blues, St Mark’s Basilica and Victor Ludorum, as well as the second crops of Hello Youmzain, Kameko, Mohaather, Persian King, Romanised, Pinatubo, Sergei Prokofiev, Sottsass and Wooded.

The first part of the catalogue that offers 208 colts and fillies will kick off the sale. Underlining the quality of the session, nearly 40 per cent of the yearlings offered are siblings to black-type horses, including 40 siblings to Group winners. In addition, nearly 30 per cent of the colts and fillies offered in Part 1 of the catalogue are out of black-type mares.
