There is no respite from the sales merry-go-round and the world descends on Park Paddocks once more this week, with the focus for the next five days on those with form in the book. Aisling Crowe selects a trio of young horses who, with differing buyers in mind, will be well worth following through the ring and in their future careers.

Lot 647
September Leaves 3yo b f (Night Of Thunder - Antique Platinum)
Moyglare Stud Farm

Any opportunity to buy into one of Moyglare Stud's carefully cultivated families is one most breeders will be quick to jump on the scent of and in September Leaves, there is just one such chance in the catalogue.

The three-year-old has a career best official rating of 80 which was earned just last month for her success in a Gowran Park handicap for Saturday's Futurity Trophy-winning trainer and jockey Jessica Harrington and Shane Foley.

September Leaves has won twice this season over a mile and the daughter of Night Of Thunder, who sired 2024 Group 1 winners Economics and Desert Flower, is a half-sister to winners by Gleneagles and Teofilo.

They are out of Antique Platinum, a winning Holy Roman Emperor sister to Group 1 winner and Hong Kong champion Designs On Rome and three-parts sister to Irish 2,000 Guineas and Prix Jacques le Marois winner Romanised. She is also a three-parts sister to Grade 2 American Derby winner Simple Exchange, by Danehill, and a half-sister to Group 3 winner and Hong Kong Vase second Sights On Gold.

Lot 749G
Delius 3yo b c (Frankel - Whatami)
Coolmore

A wildcard entry who could be tailor-made for Australia's middle-distance and staying Group 1s as Via Sistina demonstrated once more at the weekend that European form trumps the homebreds.

Delius was last seen contesting the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe for Jean-Claude Rouget, the Coolmore partners and Westerberg, finishing eighth behind Bluestocking. Prior to that, the three-year-old split Group 1 winners Sosie and Look De Vega when second in the Group 2 Prix Niel and he was third to Sosie in the Grand Prix de Paris.

The brother to Royal Ascot winner Juan Elcano began his career with a hat-trick of victories that culminated in the Group 3 Prix du Lys before tackling his first Group 1 on Bastille Day.

A half-brother to Group 3 Hoppings Stakes winner Nkosikazi, Delius was sold by Furnace Mill Stud to MV Magnier for 675,000gns at the Tattersalls December Foal Sale in 2021.

Their dam Whatami is a Daylami sister to Chesham Stakes winner Whazzat, dam of James Garfield who won the Mill Reef Stakes and was second in the Group 1 Prix Maurice de Gheest. Whazzat is also the second dam of Wimbledon Hawkeye while another half-sister, Unaided, is the dam of Uni, whose four Grade 1 triumphs included the Breeders' Cup Mile.

Second dam Wosaita is a Generous half-sister to diminutive Prix de Diane winner Rafha, dam of Invincible Spirit and Kodiac. She is also a half-sister to Blandford Stakes winner Chiang Mai, dam of Group 1 Pretty Polly Stakes winner Chinese White.

Other Group 1 winners on the page include Pinatubo, Mishriff and Pride Of Dubai, who is duking it out with Fastnet Rock in the fight to be crowned Australia's champion sire.

Lot 1129G
Square D'Alboni 2yo b g (Zarak - Polonia)
Imperium Sales

Imperium Sales made an imperious and immediate impact on their consigning debut at last year's HIT Sale with Alex Elliott's venture selling the top-priced lot and had three of the most expensive horses in the sale from their draft of 13.

With the late addition of Saturday's Listed Chantilly winner, the Imperium consignment has been bolstered even further and their chances of topping the charts once more strengthened by the two-year-old son of Zarak.

Trained by Ralph Beckett, who has enjoyed considerable success including at Classic level with horses purchased by Elliott as yearlings this term, Square D'Alboni won by an eased-down four lengths on Saturday to bring up a hat-trick of victories in just two months.

Purchased from Haras d'Ombreville at the BBAG Yearling Sale for €40,000, Square D'Alboni is now the winner of three of his four starts and his most recent two wins were easy, wide-margin successes.

Square D'Alboni is a half-brother to Polanzor, a son of Almanzor who won as a two-year-old last year in France and they are the first two foals out of Polonia Lady, a winning daughter of Australia who became a Group 1 broodmare sire this year.

Polonia Lady's unraced dam Glicine is a Tiger Hill half-sister to Group 1 winners and sires Guignol and Guiliani and to Listed winner Guantana, dam of Group 2 winner Guardini and fellow Listed winners Guizot and Gouache. The latter is the dam of this season's King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes winner Goliath, who is being aimed at the Japan Cup.
