Eye-catching point-to-point debutante winner She Is For Me Boys topped the Tattersalls Online October Sale when selling to Tom Malone for 42,000gns.

The Clovis Du Berlais five-year-old had struck by two lengths at Toomebridge earlier this month, defeating subsequent Portrush Bayonetta in good style.

She Is For Me Boys had been through the sales ring before when selling to James Doyle's Baltimore Stables for 17,000gns at the Tattersalls May National Hunt Sale in 2022. She is a sister to Jane Du Berlais, a winner over hurdles for Ryan Potter in 2022.

The pair are out of the unraced Presenting mare Bet Davis and from the family of the prolific Champion Chase winner Klairon Davis and Violin Davis, a winner of the Grade 2 Warfield Mares' Hurdle.

After the sale, Malone said: “I’ve seen her plenty in James Doyle’s yard and I liked her when I saw her in February. I saw her in September again and then she went and won first time out.

"The form was solid and she’s out of a Presenting mare. She jumped for fun and that’s going to be a big asset when she comes to Britain. She has been bought for Jamie Snowden and owners Karen and John Gunn."

Malone also purchased Cruden, a son of Time Test who won on the Flat for Jessica Harrington and also struck over hurdles on his last start at Cork this month. He went the way of the leading agent for 26,000gns.

The sale realised a turnover of 319,900gns for 49 lots sold, at an average price of 6,529 guineas. Over 300 bidders registered for the sale from over 20 countries including America, Belgium, Britain, France, Ireland, India, Italy, Germany, Serbia, Sweden, The Netherlands, Zambia and from throughout the Gulf region.
