An initial catalogue of 22 has been released for the first Tattersalls Cheltenham sale of 2025 which takes place after racing on Festival Trials Day, January 25.

Topping the list is impressive recent Dromahane four-year-old maiden winner Starzand who was a 16-length winner for James Doyle on December 30, having just his second start. The son of Harzand had been runner-up on debut at Knockanard last February and was bought for €21,000 by Baltimore Stables at the Tatersalls Ireland Derby Sale.

Cinnamon Roll, Sam Curling's five-year-old No Risk At All gelding, made a winning debut in a four-year-old maiden at Ballycrystal in early December and is another eye-catching entry to the sale. He is the first foal out of Lunaya, a winning daughter of Voix Du Nord and it will be the fourth time that Cinnamon Roll will come under the hammer having made €31,000 online as a yearling and €65,000 again as a yearling, this time at the Tattersalls Ireland November National Hunt Sale.

On his most recent visit to the sales ring he achieved his best price to date when knocked down for €95,000 to BECU Bloodstock Limited at the Goffs Arkle Sale.

In addition to the point-to-point winners, a quartet of four-year-old bumper winners are also among the first tranche of entries and two of them are quoted in the betting for the Grade 1 Champion Bumper at the Cheltenham Festival.

Stuart Crawford's Down Royal debut winner Kilwaughter is available at a best price of 33-1 after his Christmas victory. The son of Milan is a half-brother to seven winners and out of Glory Days, a Tiger Hill full-sister to the Grade 2 November Novices Chase winner and Grade 1 Maghull Novices' Chase and Ascot Chase-placed Ghizao.

Glory Days is also a full-sister to the Listed winner and Group 2-placed Gentle Tiger and a half-sister to the dam of Grade 2-winning hurdler All The Glory.

On 27 December, a day after Kilwaughter made his winning debut at Down Royal, Karate Kid got off the mark in a Leopardstown bumper. Trained by Colm Ryan, the now five-year-old son of Spanish Moon had been runner-up in a Fairyhouse contest on debut for owner John Hayes.

Karate Kid is the first foal out of Gardeline, an unraced Shamalgan half-sister to Arzal, winner of the Grade 1 Manifesto Novices' Chase for Harry Whittington.

Entries for the Tattersalls Cheltenham January Sale remain open and the catalogue will be updated after the conclusion of the weekend's point-to-point action with meetings scheduled in Ireland at Tinahely, Ballindenisk, Aghabulloghe and Turtulla, and in Britain at Larkhill, Revesby Park and Friars Haugh.
