Do you ever feel like the whole world is against you? I do, and it’s almost always on account of public transport. Another cancelled train really wasn’t the ideal way to start the week, much in the same way another public transport reference isn’t the ideal way to start a sales diary. But here we are.
Just the other day a marketing mogul from a major stud stopped me to say he thought he’d seen me at the station, very obviously poking fun at my Poundland Michael Portillo routine (Michael hosted the BBC2 series Great British Railway Journeys, for those who know him only as a jazzily dressed Tory politician).
