Atmosphere set fair in Newmarket as Amo Racing takes Book 1 by storm
A welcome shaft of sunshine asserted its dominance on an unsettled afternoon of weather at Tattersalls at the precise moment that the Book 1 talking horse, Alpinista’s sister, made her entrance in the parade ring.
No rainbow but, given the encouraging rate of spending in evidence during the sale’s opening morning, plenty of pots of gold seemed to have been brought to Park Paddocks.
One of journalism’s great ironies is these stories never seem to just write themselves. To stretch the meteorological metaphor even further, another filly by Frankel was just about to rain on her parade.
