For the second time in as many years, the Prix Marcel Boussac provided a feather in the cap for Dubawi, who is having yet another strong season. Wild Illusion's victory on Sunday emulated that of Wuheida in the race last year for the same Godolphin-Charlie Appleby axis, while handing Darley's flagship stallion a 33rd Group or Grade 1 winner.
It also capped a weekend that had already featured an impressive win on dirt by his son Mubtaahij in the Grade 1 Awesome Again Stakes at Santa Anita.
