Danehill deservedly remains the benchmark for dual-hemisphere success, a path that has since been trodden to a significant degree by his sons Fastnet Rock and Exceed And Excel.
Away from Danehill, however, few can touch the international influence of WinStar Farm's More Than Ready, an excellent source of quality in Australia who has also come to be regarded as one of the most important stallions in Kentucky.
For that, he deserves special recognition, as to triumph in those racing jurisdictions requires the ability to throw dirt runners as well those on turf. He is also one of those horses who has long satisfied commercial demands as a regular source of two-year-old speed, yet one that remains perfectly capable of throwing a good middle-distance horse as well.
