'We have no doubt of her potential' - leading juvenile Daylight heading to Arqana's Vente d’Elevage
This season's Prix de Cabourg winner and dual Group 1-placed Daylight is the latest exciting prospect to be added to Arqana's Vente d’Elevage in December.
The daughter of first-season sire Earthlight was a winner on debut in May and has been the model of consistency in Group company since, finishing third in the Prix du Bois on her second start.
Daylight then won the Prix de Cabourg by two and a half lengths before a third in the Prix Morny and then a second-placed finish to Lake Victoria in the Cheveley Park Stakes. She had finished runner-up in the Criterium de Maisons-Laffitte on her latest start earlier this month.
Pauline Chehboub of joint-owner Gousserie Racing said: "She's a filly that has stood out for her consistency and talent since we acquired her at the yearling sales. She's exceptional, with a high cruising speed and superb acceleration.
"We have no doubt of her potential over a longer distance in the future, and with our partners, after her Cheveley Park run we definitely wanted to enter her in the 1,000 Guineas at Newmarket. She has a great future!"
Daylight is the leading offspring by her Kildangan Stud-based sire and is out of the Listed-winning and Group-placed Silver Frost mare Latita.
The Vente d’Elevage takes place from December 7-10.
