'We believe he will make notable appeal' - high-class Go Bears Go to stand at Springfield House Stud
Go Bears Go, winner of the Group 2 Railway Stakes at two, has been retired and will stand at Reddy and Linda Coffey's Springfield House Stud in partnership with owner Amo Racing.
A son of Kodi Bear, Go Bears Go was a high-class juvenile, with that success at the Curragh in the Railway Stakes plus placings in the Phoenix Stakes and Norfolk Stakes.
He was a winner at Ascot on his debut that May and proved a model of consistency that campaign, ending it with a fine second place in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint at Del Mar.
Go Bears Go was also a dual Group winner at three, landing the Pavilion Stakes on his seasonal comeback and then taking the Phoenix Sprint Stakes after a good second to subsequent Sprint Cup victor Minzaal in the Hackwood Stakes.
Go Bears Go is the highest rated runner produced by Kodi Bear, whose representatives this season include Queen Mary Stakes winner Leovanni and Cowardofthecounty, winner of the Prix Francois Boutin in Deauville.
He is out of the winning Giant’s Causeway mare In Dubai, a half-sister to the Group and Grade 1 winner Nahrain, dam of 2024 1,000 Guineas heroine Elmalka and the three-time Group 1 winner Benbatl. His second dam is Ribblesdale Stakes winner Bahr, also placed in the English and Irish Oaks.
Amo Racing's Kia Joorabchian said: "Go Bears Go was one of our early flagbearers and has long been held in high regard by Amo Racing. He's given us a number of memorable days, especially in the Railway Stakes and when narrowly touched off at the Breeders' Cup.
"We're delighted to have entered into partnership with Reddy and Linda Coffey and we look forward to supporting Go Bears Go over the coming years. We have every confidence in his ability to make a notable impact at stud."
Springfield House Stud’s Reddy Coffey said: "We're thrilled to be standing Go Bears Go in partnership with Amo. He’s a quality, good-looking horse with the form to match, and we believe he will make notable appeal to the commercial Irish breeder."
Go Bears Go will stand for a fee of €8,000 in 2025.
