The Tweenhills Angus burger and coffee vans hosted by the Gloucestershire stud and Qatar Racing at the Tattersalls December Foal and Mare Sales have raised £8,500 for Racing Welfare, reaching a total of £23,000 raised over the last three years.

The vans provided a range of burgers, breakfast rolls and barista-style coffees and the money raised, which included proceeds and gifts, was donated by Sheikh Fahad Al Thani, chairman of Qatar Racing, and David Redvers, Qatar Racing’s racing manager and owner of Tweenhills.

Redvers said: “We are delighted to be able to support Racing Welfare in these incredibly challenging times and wish to thank everyone for their custom.

"Tweenhills Angus beef is produced from the grass-fed herd of cattle reared at Tweenhills alongside the stallions, mares and foals, and is expertly prepared by our local butcher.”

Dawn Goodfellow, chief executive at Racing Welfare, added: “Thank you so much to Tweenhills for their continued support in once again raising vital funds for Racing Welfare.

"As a charity, we rely upon the generosity of our supporters so that we can be there for racing’s people when they need us, and the impact of this donation will be far-reaching during what is a particularly tough time for many."
