Top-class dams among high-class Arqana Vente d’Elevage catalogue
A power-packed Arqana Vente d’Elevage catalogue featuring Group 1-placed juvenile Daylight, Breeders' Cup victor Unquestionable's dam Strawberry Lace and the dam of Sun Chariot winner Tamfana is now online.
Offering 956 lots, made up of 438 mares, 241 fillies, 273 foals and three stallions, the December 7-10 sale will begin at 10am local time (9am GMT) on Saturday and Sunday, and 11am on Monday and Tuesday.
The opening session is made up of a selection of 227 mares, fillies and foals with exceptional pedigrees from the most prestigious breeding establishments that include the Aga Khan Studs, Godolphin, Écurie des Monceaux and Wertheimer & Frere.
Among them is Prix de Cabourg winner and Cheveley Park Stakes and Prix Morny-placed Daylight, as well as Strawberry Lace, carrying a sibling to Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf winner Unquestionable, and Tres Magnifique, carrying a sibling to Tamfana.
Others to note include Prix Eclipse winner and Criterium de Maisons-Laffitte second Dawn Charger, Prix de Psyche winner and Saint-Alary second Almara, Graded winner and Group 1-placed Elusive Princess, plus Prix de Psyche scorer and Prix Rothschild runner-up Excellent Truth.
Alianza, the dam of this year's French 2,000 Guineas hero Metropolitan who is carrying to the Aga Khan's young sire Erevann, is also up for grabs.
Fifteen wildcards are still to come through Arqana's bloodstock team.
