Breeding rights to leading first-season sires Time Test and Ardad sold for 100,000gns and 75,000gns respectively to Blandford Bloodstock at Tattersalls' Online Sale of Breeding Rights on Friday.

Time Test, a blue-blooded son of Dubawi and the Group 1-winning Dansili mare Passage Of Time, has sired 11 individual winners from his first crop, including Dick Poole Stakes winner Romantic Time, Listed scorers Tardis and The King's Horses, and Moyglare Stud Stakes third Sunset Shiraz.

Tom Goff of Blandford Bloodstock said: "The Time Test breeding right has been bought for an overseas investor who wishes to remain anonymous. They approached us earlier in the week about it.

"The sire is a fantastic addition to the National Stud’s roster and has started very well, achieving more than most people expected of him at this stage. He has some excellent crops sizes to come and it’s all ahead of him really.”

The breeding right to Ardad, who will stand the 2022 season for a career-high £12,500 at Overbury Stud, sold to Blandford alongside Wardley Farm.

Goff added: "I'm really delighted to secure the breeding right to Ardad for Wardley Bloodstock. What the sire has achieved this year is nothing short of sensational. My client is very excited to get involved in what is already a remarkable bloodstock story."

The son of Kodiac has made quite the impression in his first season, with 21 individual winners led by Middle Park Stakes and Prix Morny scorer Perfect Power, along with Sirenia Stakes winner Eve Lodge and Coventry Stakes third Vintage Clarets.
