'This year's catalogue is our largest for July in nearly a decade'
Fasig-Tipton has catalogued 349 selected yearlings for the July Sale, to be held on Tuesday, July 10, at the company’s Newtown Paddocks in Lexington, Kentucky. The sale will begin at 10am.
"July was a very healthy market last year and as a result consignors have responded with increased quality and quantity," said Fasig-Tipton president Boyd Browning. "This year’s catalogue is our largest for July in nearly a decade, and boasts a significant uptick in sire power, as well."
Fasig-Tipton’s popular July Selected Horses Of Racing Age Sale will be held the day prior to the July Sale on Monday, July 9.
"The July Selected Horses of Racing Age Sale was one of the strongest sales on the auction calendar last year," continued Browning. "The sale’s timing makes it very popular with buyers looking to load up their racing stables ahead of the major summer race meetings."
Among the July Sale's best graduates is Phoenix Thoroughbred's Grade 1-winning miler Dream Tree, who stars on the front cover of this year's catalogue.
The daughter of Uncle Mo won the top-flight Starlet Stakes over an extended mile on her third juvenile start, and landed the Grade 2 Las Virgenes Stakes at Santa Anita on her seasonal return in early April.
