Group 2 winner Tiberian has come a long way since providing Haras du Logis teaser Tiberius Caesar with stakes success and the nine-year-old now has his first foal on the ground, a filly out of the winning Dashing Beauty.

Tiberian was the produce of Tiberius Caesar's covering with the stakes-placed Toamasina - his reward for his rather unenviable occupation was one mare a year.

He is one of several winners for his sire from very few foals and enjoyed his finest hour when landing the Grand Prix de Deauville in 2017.

Larissa Kneip reported news of the arrival at her picture-postcard Haras de Saint-Arnoult in Normandy, and said: "She’s a beautiful filly, with size and bone and a certain touch of class. We hope there’ll be lots more like her.

"With those looks, Tiberian has definitely deserved to get some mares. National Hunt mares should benefit from what he clearly transmits with this genes - great conformation."

The nine-year-old, who stands alongside new recruits Elarqam and Yafta at Haras de Saint Arnoult for a fee of €2,000 this year, also defeated subsequent Breeders' Cup Turf winner Talismanic and Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud scorer Way To Paris in the Group 3 Prix d'Hedouville.

Tiberian also placed behind top-class performers in Waldgeist, Vazirabad and Finche in Group company over several seasons, while his sire was allowed to cover more mares on the back of his initial success with other runners, such as smart handicapper and Listed fifth Magnentius and Prix de Diane eighth Yellow Storm.

On Tiberian's arrival at Haras de Saint Arnoult in 2019, Kneip had said: “He is a magnificent horse, with good size and a lot of bone, with a very expressive head. He proved his toughness and stamina in his racing career, having run at Group level on all sorts of going until the age of seven.

“He was a real warrior while also being a very easy horse to deal with."
