Army on the front foot during first-crop sire showdown

The Premier Sale provided the domestic market with its first look at the debut yearlings of 14 different first-crop sires, and some were received more warmly than others.

There was a dead-heat for the priciest lot by a new stallion, with the Too Darn Hot colt out of Whispering Bell bought by Ben Brookhouse and the Ten Sovereigns filly out of Rainbow Moonstone sold to Manor House Farm fetching £150,000 apiece.
