The New One sibling among the Tattersalls Ireland August Sale lots
Two-day auction takes place in Fairyhouse on Thursday and Friday
The two-day Tattersalls Ireland August National Hunt Sale gets underway at 11am on Thursday, with a Shirocco half-brother to dual Grade 1-winning hurdler The New One among the potential star lots on offer.
After withdrawals, Thursday's catalogue features around 190 stores, including a Balko gelding (Lot 117) out of a half-sister to dual Gold Cup winner Kauto Star offered by Killeen Glebe; a full-brother to Neptune Novices' Hurdle scorer Willoughby Court (228) consigned by Boardsmill Stud; plus a Fairly Ransom half-brother (134) to Grade 1 winner Road To Respect, who is due to be put through the ring by Graiguebeg Stud.
A further 194 stores have been catalogued for part two, which begins on Friday at 11am.
Among the auction's high-achieving past graduates are 2018 Supreme Novices' Hurdle hero Summerville Boy, who also won the Relkeel Hurdle at Cheltenham on New Year's Day, plus Grade 3 chase scorer Kimberlite Candy.
Tattersalls Ireland chief executive Matt Mitchell said of the newly formated auction: "The new format of our August National Hunt Sale further complements the Tattersalls Ireland select store sales portfolio, which includes the May Store Sale and the market leading Derby Sale."
