A unique opportunity to own a legend - that, in the words of Gigginstown racing manager Eddie O'Leary, is what's at stake at Goffs' December National Hunt Sale on Thursday, when Apple's Jade goes through the ring.
Apple's Jade won 11 times at the top level during her fabulous career, a remarkable feat for a female and one only matched in this part of the world by the mighty Enable in July this year when she won the King George.
Lot 515 out of the 522-lot catalogue will certainly get the most attention at Kildare Paddocks and, while O'Leary admits he will be sad to say goodbye to the best mare Gigginstown have ever owned, he hopes her new owner will get lucky too.
