Tattersalls auctioneer John O'Kelly explains how he prepares to do his job
Auctioneering is one of those things plenty of people probably think they could do but is in fact so much hard than it looks.
One man who makes it look easy is Tattersalls' John O'Kelly, whose voice is familiar to attendees of sales across the globe.
At last week's Tattersalls July Sale in Newmarket, O'Kelly took some time out with us to explain how he prepares for his stints on the rostrum, how he attempts to build the atmosphere in the ring and how he became so confident switching from speaking in English to addressing a potential buyer in French when required.
