Sister to Oaks winner Forever Together heads up Orby catalogue
Their dam Green Room has already produced three top-level scorers
Goffs has released the catalogue for this year's Orby Sale which takes place on October 2-3. The sales company has put together a collection of 418 yearlings from vendors in Ireland, Britain, Europe and America.
Champion sire Galileo has 11 yearlings catalogued for this year's Orby Sale comprised of six fillies and five colts. They are headed by a full-sister to this year's Oaks winner Forever Together, who was sold at the 2016 Orby Sale to MV Magnier for €900,000. Consigned by Ballylinch Stud on behalf of breeders Vimal and Gillian Khosla, the filly is also a full-sister to Group 1 Fillies' Mile winner Together Forever and a half-sister to another top-level winner in Lord Shanakill.
A Galileo full-sister to three-time Group 1 winner Alice Springs is also among the 11 progeny of Coolmore's supersire.
Commenting on the quality of this year's catalogue, Henry Beeby, group chief executive, said: "Forever Together is the epitome of what the Orby represents and aspires to each year, and her own sister is just one of an incredible group of yearlings that would grace any catalogue anywhere, resulting in a selection of which we are very proud.
"We specifically set out to zone in on true quality this year and so have tightened the catalogue with the result that our 418 colts and fillies will set a very high standard and allow purchasers to focus on consistent class across the two days."
Three fillies and two colts from the fourth crop of Galileo's world champion son and exciting sire Frankel will also be offered for sale at the Kildare auction house. They include a half-sister to Group 1-winning sprinter Kingsgate Native and a colt out of Breeders' Cup Distaff winner Adoration.
Also contained within the catalogue are yearlings by elite sires Sea The Stars, Invincible Spirit, Dark Angel, Exceed And Excel, Oasis Dream, Pivotal, Holy Roman Emperor, Acclamation, Iffraaj, Kodiac, Zoffany, Le Havre, Lope De Vega, Siyouni, Showcasing and Teofilo.
Exciting young sires Australia, Camelot, Havana Gold, Kingman, No Nay Never and War Command are also represented.
The eagerly awaited first crops of champions Gleneagles, Golden Horn and Muhaarar are well-represented in the Goffs Orby catalogue and are joined by the first yearlings of Group 1 Prince of Wales's Stakes winner Free Eagle and Cable Bay, the high-class son of Invincible Spirit.
"We are thrilled with the support we have received from vendors this year as we have been entrusted with a truly world-class selection of yearlings," said Beeby. "Several leading breeders have sent us more of their best than ever and we cannot wait to present this amazing group of yearlings to potential purchasers from home and abroad."
The Orby sale commences at 11am on Tuesday, October 2 and the second session starts at the earlier time of 10am on Wednesday, October 3.
