Siblings to Emily Upjohn and Teona among top-class Goffs November Foal Sale catalogue
Sea The Stars full-brothers to Emily Upjohn and Teona headline a top-class catalogue for the Goffs November Foal Sale which takes next month.
Catalogued as lots (641) and (566) they are two of the standout foals in a selection which includes relations to Group 1 performers with other highlights being the Kingman half-siblings to Group 1 winner Jannah Rose (754) and the Group 2 winner and St Leger runner-up Arrest (700).
The Camelot half-brother to 1,000 Guineas and Prix Rothschild heroine Mother Earth is another pedigree highpoint while there is also a Lope de Vega half-sister to Lowther Stakes winner Living In The Past from the family of 2,000 Guineas and Dewhurst winner Chaldean (574); a No Nay Never colt out of Listed-winning Galileo mare Thoughts Of June (535) and another filly by Kingman (540), who is a half-sister to Group 3 winner Basil Martini.
A total of 1021 foals have been catalogued for the four-day sale and in addition to those elite stallions already mentioned sires such as Dark Angel, Invincible Spirit, Mehmas, Night Of Thunder Siyouni, Too Darn Hot and Wootton Bassett are represented.
The sale afford buyers the first opportunity to purchase the debut progeny of sires including champion Baaeed, and Group 1 winners such as Bayside Boy, Blackbeard, Minzaal and State Of Rest among others.
Goffs Group chief executive Henry Beeby said: "The Goffs November Foal Sale has enjoyed another season of success on the track followed by many lucrative pinhooks, and we are proud to feature the overwhelming majority share of the best Irish foals once again. We are grateful to our vendors who continue to choose Goffs November as their first choice for their quality foals as they recognise its market leading status."
The sale takes place from November 18-21 and will be followed by the two-day November Breeding Stock on November 22-23. That catalogue will be published later this week.
Both Ambivalent, the Group 1-winning dam of Teona, and Thoughts Of June, carrying their respective colts by Sea The Stars and No Nay Never, were sold at Goffs last November.
