Shalaa leads eight-strong roster at Haras de Bouquetot at €25,000
Al Shaqab's stallion base welcomes Ruler Of The World for 2020
Al Shaqab Racing has unveiled the 2020 prices for its eight-strong line-up of stallions standing at Haras de Bouquetot in Normandy.
Topping the list is two-time Group 1 winner Shalaa, with the son of Invincible Spirit upped to €25,000 - from €22,000 - in the year that his debut crop of two-year-olds reach the racecourse.
Shalaa's first crop of yearlings have caused quite a stir across this year's European sales, with his sons and daughters averaging a price of £103,860 and achieving a high of €600,000, with Narvick International purchasing the half-brother to Penglai Pavilion at Arqana in August.
Shalaa stands alongside Olympic Glory, who has been rewarded for siring his breakthrough Group 1 winner, Coronation Stakes heroine Watch Me, with an increase to €10,000, having stood 2019 at €8,000.
Leading second-crop sire Toronado has been pitched at €8,000, down from €12,000, while Zelzal and Al Wukair will stand their third seasons on covering duty at €7,000, with both having been €8,000 last year.
The stud's new addition Ruler Of The World will stand his first season in France at €6,000. The former Coolmore resident's talents we well advertised during the Breeders' Cup meeting, with his first-crop daughter Iridessa landing her fourth top-flight event in the Grade 1 Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf.
Completing the roster at Haras de Bouquetot are Ectot, with the Group/Grade 1-winning son of Hurricane Run remaining at €5,000, and Mekhtaal, whose fee has been clipped in to €4,000.
The stud has bid farewell to Style Vendome, who has relocated to Haras du Grand Courgeon, and dual Classic winner Brametot.
