Yellowford Farm's youngsters swept the board at two recent auctions
For Yellowford Farm's foals to have topped the table at both Goffs and Tattersalls Ireland over the last week or so is a result that proprietor Frank Motherway is not taking for granted.
"There was a lot of uncertainty all through the summer as regards Covid and it was one of those times when we didn’t trade any foals at home - we normally would have sold some to good clients but I think lads were afraid what to do and they didn’t tend to come," he explained.
"I was encouraged by the trade at Tattersalls Book 2 - I know it’s Flat as opposed to National Hunt - it ended up going really well and there’s often a sort of co-relationship between the two.
