Darley's first-season sire Profitable and Tally-Ho's Cotai Glory will be represented by their first runners in the opening five-furlong fillies' novice contest at Kempton on Wednesday.

Profitable's daughter Thunder Love was bred by Mickley Stud and was picked up for 13,000gns at the Tattersalls December Foal Sale in 2019 by Joanna Morgan.

The George Boughey-trained runner was subsequently snapped up by Robson Aguiar for £18,000 at the following year's Tattersalls Ireland September Yearling Sale.

Out of the Listed-winning and Mill Reef-placed Mark Of Esteem mare Nantyglo, Thunder Love is related to five winners including dual winners Glenglade and Solar Cross.

Profitable, a son of Invincible Spirit and a 95,000gns purchase from Book 1 of Tattersalls October Yearling Sale, was a durable and consistent performer for Alan Spence and then Godolphin.

Bred by Con Harrington, he shelved his maiden tag on his second start at two, won at Listed level at York the following year, and added the King's Stand, Temple and Palace House Stakes to his CV at four.

Having finished runner-up behind the brilliant Lady Aurelia and Battaash in the King's Stand and King George Stakes, Profitable finished his career with a third in the Abbaye at Chantilly.

He was retired to Darley's Kildangan Stud the following year for an opening fee of €12,000. The nine-year-old - a 5-2 chance with Sky Bet to land the champion first-season sire title - stands for €10,000 this term and has 130 first-crop juveniles to represent him this year.

Cotai Glory, whose Boughey-trained Forca Brasil was withdrawn before his intended run in the Brocklesby at Doncaster on Saturday, will instead have Hollow Steel go down in the records as his first runner.

Bred by Tally-Ho and a 6,500gns purchase from Tattersalls Ascot, the filly is the fourth foal out of the placed Beat Hollow mare Sunny Hollow - a relation to two stakes performers - and a half-sister to two winners.

Cotai Glory, runner-up to Profitable in the King's Stand and a multiple Group 3 winner over the minimum trip, was bred by Glebe Stud, J F Dean & Lady Trenchard and was a 75,000gns purchase by Ed Sackville from Tattersalls Book 2 in 2013.

The nine-year-old son of Exceed And Excel stands for a fee of €5,000 and has 127 first-crop runners to represent him. He's an 11-4 chance with Sky Bet to land first-season sire honours.
