Paul Greeves retires as deputy chairman of Thoroughbred Breeders' Association
Bryan Mayoh and Anita Wigan elected to the board
Paul Greeves, who has had a working lifetime associated with the TBA, first through Weatherbys and more recently as a co-opted member of the board, has retired as deputy chairman after completing two four-year terms in office.
Paying tribute, TBA chairman Julian Richmond-Watson said: “Paul’s great in-depth knowledge and understanding of breeding issues has been invaluable to the TBA and he will be hard to replace.
"He and I have worked together in various roles for over 20 years and I will miss his wise counsel and steadfast and loyal support.”
The deputy chairmanship will be filled at the September board meeting.
Brian Mayoh topped the poll at this year’s TBA board member elections, for which four candidates contested two places, being re-elected for a second term.
Anita Wigan, who lives at West Blagdon Stud with her bloodstock-agent husband James, was elected for the first time.
