Vintage catalogue draws breathtaking trade
Comparisons with last year’s Goffs November Breeding Sale point to the extraordinary resilience of the industry, bouncing back from a year that, in many ways, was close to disastrous for racing and breeding in Ireland. Comparisons with 2019, however, point to just how strong trade was at Goffs during the six days of the 2021 November Sale.
Two years’ ago, the November Sale reported significant gains and a record price for a foal sold in Ireland. The 2019 sale posted turnover that was up by 25 per cent on the previous year, an average that increased by 24 per cent and a median that grew by 21 percentage points on 2018’s figure.
