Beyond Dreams

William Hill Keep Your Raceday Positive Irish EBF Fillies Maiden (1.55 Punchestown, Tuesday)

What's the story?

Dermot Weld has an interesting newcomer to his ranks in Beyond Dreams, who is pretty auspiciously named. The daughter of Wootton Bassett – whose first Irish-bred crop of juveniles are flying – is bred to be a star and she is named accordingly.

How's she bred?

Beyond Dreams is the 11th foal out of the winning Redoute's Choice mare Zouzou, making her a half-sister to dual Australian Group 1 winner Zoustar. The Northern Meteor horse has since gone on to become a leading sire in Australia and a top-level producer on shuttling duty to Tweenhills, coming up with Cheveley Park Stakes heroine Lezoo from his first northern hemisphere crop.

Those two are half-siblings to the Galileo-sired Emperor Of The Sun, a Leopardstown Listed winner and Group-placed performer for Donnacha O'Brien.

Who does she face?

The filly's rivals include Amangani, a daughter of No Nay Never who was third on her debut at Gowran Park this month. The relation to top-class miler Charm Spirit is out of La Naturel, a winning Silver Frost half-sister to No Nay Never's stakes winner Onthewaytonevrland.

Another to note is her own stablemate Mint Candy, a daughter of Dubawi and multiple American Grade 1 scorer Rushing Fall.

Rushing Fall sold to MV Magnier for $5,500,000 at the Fasig-Tipton November Sale in 2020 and her daughter has raced twice, placing second at Gowran Park on her most recent outing.
