LM Stallions has become the latest operation to reduce their stallion fees, with the Grade 3-winning Legends Of War heading the five-strong roster.

The reduction in fees, which ranges from 20 to 33 per cent, applies to all the stallions at March Hare Stud in Dorset, and contracts that have been signed will be reissued as new ones with the amended prices.

Legends Of War, a 900,000gns purchase from the Tattersalls Breeze-Up Sale in 2018, was originally set to stand for £6,000 but will now do so for £5,000 following the economic difficulties resulting from the continuing coronavirus pandemic.

The four-year-old son of Scat Daddy started his career with John Gosden, winning a novice race and finishing second in the Group 2 Gimcrack Stakes at York, before moving to Doug O'Neill's US stables last year.

He backed up that placed effort with a strike in the Grade 3 Franklin-Simpson Stakes at Kentucky Downs last September, before ending his career with a midfield finish in Riyadh earlier this year.

The 2,000 Guineas runner-up and dual Listed winner Tip Two Win is another headline name for the burgeoning operation and will stand for £3,500 - he was priced at £5,000 earlier this year - while last year's Windsor Castle scorer Southern Hills is now £3,000 (from £4,000).

Diplomat and Master Carpenter complete the roster, and will stand for fees of £2,000 and £1,000 respectively, having been priced originally at £2,500 and £1,500.

Private viewings of the stallions - inline with Covid social distancing rules - are available for booking.
